dd is doing a basketry course where the theme is “jellyfish” so we went along to the London Aquarium for the first and last time to take some pics. Bank Holiday weekend, incredible lines, screaming children, constant hold ups going through the aquarium as the staff try to extort money out of the punters with photos and ice cream, etc.
And in different parts of the aquarium there are signs lamenting the fact there is a lot of plastic in the ocean, there is pollution, coral is dying, over fishing, etc. Which all becomes quite ridiculous when you end up in their shop and it is FULL of tat made of plastic.
Quite the experience.
But on the plus side, we got some lovely pictures of jellyfish. Apparently they are 97% water.
